Sixth Annual ‘Dining with Friends’ set for the month of October
Plans are underway for the 6th Annual Dining with Friends, sponsored by Montgomery AIDS Outreach (MAO). This at-home fundraiser has been a big hit and has quickly become a traditional October event that people look forward to. It is an easy and fun way for anyone to get involved and help support a great cause.
Hosts have signed on to hold dinners all around Montgomery and MAO’s service area during the month of October. Dinners will range from small, intimate gatherings to a cruise on the Riverboat; from formal, 7-course dinners to outdoor BBQs. The goal is to have 50 dinner/parties participate in this year’s Dining with Friends.
Hosts are asking a $50 minimum to attend their dinners. All proceeds go to benefit MAO in its mission to provide community prevention education, quality services and compassionate care to those infected and affected by HIV/ AIDS. Copeland Care Clinic, the medical arm of MAO is the only HIV specific primary care clinic that cares for patients in 26 counties in Central and South Alabama.
All dinner guests also receive a free ticket to the Masquerade Ball at the Biscuits Stadium, November 7th at 8:00pm. There will be lots of fun at this big After-Party with music, dancing, entertainment, champagne and desserts. There will be both a live and silent auction featuring local artists, Caribbean and Florida beach house rentals, football paraphernalia and one-of-kind treasures.
The Dining with Friends season kicks off with a Preview Party at Michael’s Table at Zelda Place on September 13th at 4:00pm. Hosts and supporters will mingle and exchange ideas over drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Two handmade designer masks by Mystick Couturier will be given away as door prizes to celebrate the Masquerade Ball After-Party.
