...Our major effort is directed towards Safe Schools. We are active in the Jefferson County Diversity Council and will meet with student and faculty groups when requested.
...Twice a year, we do a roadside cleanup as a means of community service and keeping our name visible.
...We can provide speakers or a panel for organizations when requested. We ask for a little advance notice so we can round up a group.
...In August, we hold our annual picnic and collect food items (snacks) for Rainbow Alley, a youth center run by the GLBT Center in Denver. In December, at our annual Holiday party, we collect gift items for the youth at Urban Peak. This is a shelter and training program for homeless youth, 20 - 25% of whom are gay or lesbian.
Members of our chapter will meet over coffee with anyone interested in PLAG but not ready to attend a meeting. These visits are strictly confidential.
