Julie Handy - Equality Partnerships Coordinator
     

Julie joined the PFLAG staff in August of 2008. As the Equality Partnerships Coordinator, she works with the Straight for Equality program. Updating the Straight for Equality website. communicating with anyone interested in Straight for Equality, and assisting in creating new material for the Straight for Equality program is all in a day’s work for her!

Julie graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina in May 2007 with a B.A. in English. After graduating, she worked for Thornton Friends Middle School in Silver Spring, Maryland as a teacher for emotionally at-risk youth, and then as an intern for the Human Rights Campaign’s Federal Club program. She loves poetry, film, and cooking.
