I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Urban & Regional Planning and a Minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I studied community development, social capital/empowerment, capacity building, and community involvement.

I have six years of work experience with several LGBT organizations, where I gained hands-on experience working with the public, private and non-profit sectors. My work began in the field of youth development through HIV Prevention at Bienestar Human Services - a Latino based CBO in East Los Angeles. Many years later, I found myself working at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center coordinating activities for the men's Program, HIV Prevention and Community Organizing.

My goal is to create a welcoming community for all who have experienced discrimination due to race, age, gender, sexual orientation and ability. I am an Aquarius, a native Angelino, a world traveler and a lover of maps.
