Elizabeth Fregiato is the Director of Policy and Programs at the PFLAG National office where she is responsible for managing the field and policy team, developing materials for our members, directing PFLAG’s policy priorities and addressing field concerns. Elizabeth has been with PFLAG for over 5 years, previously holding the positions of Assistant Director of Programs and Senior Field and Policy Coordinator for the Midwest.
Elizabeth previously worked as a consultant for an indigenous rights organization in Chiang Mai, Thailand where she developed and conducted trainings for indigenous women on domestic violence prevention, sustainable agricultural practices and citizenship advocacy issues. Prior to moving to Thailand, Elizabeth was an investigator in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice investigating claims of discrimination in housing and public accommodations.
Elizabeth has dual citizenship in North Carolina and Maryland having grown up in both and is a graduate of Vassar College with a BA in Political Science. She speaks passable Thai, is an avid cook and is on a quest to visit all seven continents before her passport expires in 2010 – only two left to go!
