September 18 meeting: Trans Youth Family Allies (TYFA), a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 2006. Amy G., one of its founders, will talk about how the organization began, the advocacy work the organization is doing, and its main focus.

If you wish to attend our Trans support group, arrive at 6 p.m. If you plan to attend our PFLAG meeting, come at 7 p.m. for support and announcements and stay for refreshments and Amy G.’s talk about Trans Youth Family Allies at 8 p.m. Bring a snack to share.

PFLAG Holland/Lakeshore is now accepting memberships for 2015-2016. Cost is $30 for a family or individual. $15 of that goes to National PFLAG. To join, mail a check to PFLAG Holland Lakeshore, P.O. Box 1246, Holland MI 49422-1246. Please include your address, phone, and email.

PFLAG Holland/Lakeshore will now offers a Transgender Support Group meeting the 3rd Friday every month, beginning at 6 p.m., before its normally scheduled PFLAG meeting.

The Support Group meeting will start at 6:00 pm, end at 6:50 pm and be Facilitated by one and sometimes two individuals named Krista and Jim. Trans individuals, friends, family and parents are all welcome to attend these monthly meetings.

The meeting location will be Grace Episcopal Church, 555 Michigan Ave. in Holland. PFLAG individuals will be at the church to open the doors, and greet and assist everyone to the meeting room.

All attendees are welcome to attend the regularly scheduled PFLAG meeting as well, starting at 7:00 pm in the usual meeting room downstairs and across from the church office.
